It is an honour for me to be invited to write a few words on the formation of the Anjin Company Limited (Anglo-Japan International Network).  I wholeheartedly support the efforts and principles of the company to bring Japanese visitors to Britain, particularly to Gillingham and Medway, the birthplace of William Adams, known in Japan as Miura Anjin.   To learn a language in the country where it is spoken is always the best way, and when this is combined with visits to historic places of interest, and important cultural centres, it makes for a very interesting and worthwhile experience.

Please be assured that the experience will be happy and rewarding.
